Electronic Callback Triggering by E-mail or SMS
Boomerang and
Debitalk customers are now able to get a callback by using
their E-mail or SMS. This allows customers in locations
where international dialing is blocked or
thwarted by the local phone companies to have their Access Phone Number dialed.
By using this feature, you are able to bypass your local telephone network and any
inconveniences associated with such networks, thus initiating callback.
International dialing is blocked?
Several countries are aware of the benefits of callback and have begun to block
calls to callback switches or attempt to redirect the calls. Other customers do not
have the option of dialing internationally, either because it costs more to
activate it, or they are behind special phone equipment which prevent it.
The CallbackTrigger lets these customers send an E-mail from their home or office,
or an SMS from their cellular phone and get a callback almost instantly. We can also
implement a time delay so that customers who use a single phone line can get off the
Internet in time to get their callback.
Customers with wireless phones
Some wireless phone companies charge more to allow international calling through
their networks. These same phone companies provide E-Mail capabilities on their
phones or pagers. You cand send an E-mail to the CallbackTrigger to have it dial your
Access Phone Number, which in turn dials your wireless phone.
International calling on the wireless phone with no extra costs!
How does E-mail triggering work?
Active customers must create a new E-mail message in one of the following formats:
It must be an APN on your account.
If you'd like a five (5) minute timed delay, add "TD" to the end of your "Subject:"
line. Otherwise the system will call you back immediately.
Keep in mind that it can take anywhere from 15-30 seconds to 15 minutes,
depending on how long it takes for the customer's E-mail to get to the
trigger system. If the customer's E-mail is on a corporate network that
gets queued on the hour, it will take longer.
If your E-mail was incorrectly formatted or some other technical problem occurred,
your message will be returned to your E-mail address with the reason why it
failed. If, after 5 attempts, you're still not able to trigger callback, please
let us know.
NOTE: This system is always being tested and might be sporadic or not work at all,
depending on the load on the mail servers and other situations. Please be patient
with it and do not send every error you get to Support unless you've gotten 5 already.
We have log files on this side and can track usage and can see what
numbers are triggered and when (and from whom) for debugging purposes.
Abuse of the system will not be tolerated.
How does SMS triggering work?
Active customers must be allowed to send an E-mail message as a regular SMS.
This service is now offered by most companies worldwide. However there's a FREE
service by BWARE Technologies
that allows you to send E-mail from your cellular phone, using the following
procedure:
You must send a SMS to number: +393388641732
And the following text: EMAIL CallbackTrigger@worldxs.net .AM: (your tracking number) APN: (your APN/DID).
e.g. EMAIL CallbackTrigger@worldxs.net .AM: 123456 APN: 1234567890.
Make sure to write the message exactly as explained here or refer to
this site
for further information on this service.
TIP: Save the message on your phone, so it will be
very easy to resend it in the future, at any time.
